Appearence: Bristy is a beautiful looking middle aged woman. Her hair is naturally curly and she has a full, plump face, but she is very skinny. Icy blue eyes pierce your should and she uses them to draw men and women into her arms. Her skin is a perfect tone of tan and she can't get burnt nor more tanned. Bristy's ears are pierced in two places and her bellybutton is also pierced. She has a nice body for a thirty year old and applies make up throughout the day to make sure she is absolute perfection. She is long and lanky, but her legs are the longest There is absolutely no evidence of her being a mermaid, but she is.
When in mermaid form, she is even more stunning. Her hair is usually straight due to the water and her skin shimmers in the crystal clear water. Bristy's legs and feet turned into a beautiful fin that is a pinkish metallic blue color. Her gills aren't visible.
Abilities: Bristy can obviously swim and stay underwater for a long time. Naturally, she is very sexy to attract lovers.

Personality
Personality: Bristy is a very flexible and bubbly person. She is kind to everyone. Her soft eyes tell people they can trust her. She loves animals a lot and takes care of strays like her own children. Though she adores animals, she despises young kids. Sometimes, Bristy becomes depressed because she dwells on the fact she will never have a normal life, unlike the humans. If anything, she's far from normal.
Bristy absolutely loves water, rather it's flowing out of the sink or a large body like an ocean. She usually tries to stay out of a relationship, but if she becomes very lonely she will visit a bar to snatch herself a one night stand-- male or female.
Likes: Water, all animals, swimming, fish, the beach, nature, being nice, family

History: Having been born in 1158, she doesn't remember much of her childhood. Bristy never knew her father, but he did leave a note with her mother that she would recieve at twelve years of age. Her merman father is soon to be found. At the age of seven, Bristy knew how to make her own weapons, find food for herself,and generally fend for herself. When she hit ten, she had this sudden strong yearning for water. It was as if she didn't get to water, she would die. One her twelth birthday, a very violent storm ruptured; rain poured down, thunder rumbled her small hutch, and lightning struck the trees. Her mom handed her the letter to Bristy with a shaky hand.
It was a different language carved into a slate of bark, but somehow she could read it. It gave her exact instructions. 1) Leave 2) Fend for yourself 3) You shan't trust a soul 4) You will discover what you are in one moon. At that moment, she looked at Maylynn, who had tears in her eyes. Bristy's only trace of family was gone. Without a word, she exited the hut and entered the unknown world.
Exactly one moon later, she was swimming and her fin grew. At first, it scared her to death, but she was soon used to it. Bristy grew with society and moved around so they wouldn't notice she doesn't age after thirty. Once others revealed their identity, she stayed in New York to settle and waited until her race gave themselves away. But she still doesn't go out and swim in the daylight, for she is the only one that knows her true self.
