Personality
Personality:
Jackson does best when he's alone. He's very quiet and cool, coming off as a little standoffish. He's sneaky and sly and very manipulative. His mind never stops and he's constantly compartmentalizing and thinking things over before he goes through with whatever plan he has; And he always has a plan.
Just because he does better when he's alone, doesn't mean he likes to be alone constantly. Jackson also enjoys company, usually that of a beautiful woman. He doesn't get a long well with other males, mostly just the opposite sex.

History:
Jackson has been alone ever since he can remember. He was shuffled from foster home to foster home until finally he got fed up with the abuse and constant let downs that he just ran off. He lived on the streets mostly, conning his way out of anything and manipulating people into giving him the things he needed.
Of course now, as an adult he's a lot smarter and does things differently. Every now and then, he wonders who his parents were, if he had siblings; But then he stops those thoughts, kills them. They make him weak, and vulnerable. He can't be seen as vulnerable.
No one truly knows the real Jackson, as he's built so many walls around his heart that he only comes off as cold-hearted. His image is of a bad boy, but he secretly does a lot of good things, though he loathes to say anything about it. (crappy, will probably fix later when my brain isn't fried. xD)

When Janeigh had first arrived to New York, she had never been so nervous in her life. She had left her abusive father to come and live with the brother she never knew she had. The thought of meeting him for the first time had terrified her beyond what she had thought it would. As her dirty blond hair swayed gently in the breeze, she quickly pushed it behind her ears and leaned against the railing of the boardwalk and stared out into the ocean. Her thoughts traveled back to the day before, when she first stepped into the terminal.
--
Her heart felt like it was pounding out of her chest as she held her carry on bag close to her and stepped out into the terminal. Her eyes searched around frantically, wondering if she'd be able to recognize the man that she had just found out to be her older brother. When Janiegh spotted the tall man he was leaning against the wall on the far right, watching the people pass by. His hands we're shoved into his pockets. Somehow she knew it was him, though she had never seen his face. He had told her he would be wearing and she then took the time to look over his clothing. He had on a pair of jeans, a pair of black vans and a black leather jacket. Yup, it was definitely him.
She began to walk hesitantly up to him, and then he saw her. He seemed to know it was her as he stood up tall now and reassured her with a warm smile. As she neared him, she swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat and attempted to offer a smile of her own. "...J-Jace?" Her voice strained out as she looked up at him. She watched as he nodded and replied, "And you must be Janiegh." The smile on her face grew slightly at his warm voice.
"Yup. Uhm. It's nice to finally meet you." She said softly, watching as he stepped closer and softly wrapped his arms around her waist. Her heart rate quickened and she winced at the sudden embrace. Despite her body tensing up, she let her arms snake around him to return the hug. She knew he had felt it, because he backed away slightly and looked down nervously, giving her a sheepish look and an "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." Janeigh shook her head. "It's fine, I just...wasn't expecting it." She hated the contorted look on his strong features.
--
As Janeigh came back to reality, she blinked profusely as if trying to focus her gaze. She was, she had been staring off into space for so long, her eyes had gone dry. Shifting her weight, she continued to remember the past events, how Jace had spoken so sweetly to her. She had never met someone so kind to her, except for her mother. She couldn't help but jump slightly at some of his sudden movements, used to bracing herself for some sort of impact.
It would take a lot of time to get used to and at least her wounds would heal more quickly. She was so happy to be away from the man who caused her so much pain. Earlier today she had told her older brother that she had wanted to explore her new surroundings. She found it strange that he already seemed to care so much for her, telling her to please be careful and to call if she needed him. He even had bought her a cell phone and had his number already programmed into the phone. Janeigh had felt a funny feeling twinge in her stomach at this.
Yes, it would take a lot of time to get used to these sorts of things. Jace had advised her that New York wasn't always a friendly place to be, however she wasn't scared of this. Being here gave her time to think and accept the new changes that had played out. Change wasn't something she handled best, however she felt that this sort of change would benefit her greatly.
She felt that she was finally in the place she belonged. She felt...free. Janeigh could only hope that she would never see her father again, however she was slightly scared that he would try to find her, to carry out the threats he had made toward her if she tried to contact Jace. She was scared he would find her and try to kill her.
Janeigh was scared to tell Jace this. She still didn't know him well, didn't trust him just this yet. Everything was so new and she couldn't help but feel completely terrified. She knew no one here, but she didn't know anyone home but her father, so what was the difference. Anywhere was better than where she had been.
