``registration

you can sign up with any name you want, but once you decide on your characters name, please change your display name. sure, this can realistically wait until you are approved or post your profile, but if you plan on filling out the app before posting it, then please change your name accordingly and make sure that your display name is all lowercase letters, and first and last names are requires, ex. Stella Keegan and please do not put punctuation in your display name. as of now, you may have as many characters you can have, you can have as many as you'd like, but we ask they aren't all female since we would like to keep our ratio even. if the ratio is 5:1 or higher, there will be a ban placed on female characters.

``applying

on the note of applying, please post your application within 5 days of registering. you may post a work in progress application, but be sure to finish within the five day period. also, please fill out the application carefully, and use detail. it's a short application, but we want to get to know your character. we'd also like for people to use real people as play bys, and not drawn characters, since this is a real life RP and we'd like real people. and please don't try to pass of a 30 year old character as a 22 year old, unless the admins give it the go ahead, please. we also ask that, given the rating of the site, that any character made please be over the age of 17.

``graphics

we ask that everyone on this site everyone to have an avatar (ideally 200x300) and a signature of their choice, as long as it does not exceed a width of 450 pixels. if you can't make graphics, you can request some and people are always willing to oblige. if you can't get someone on here to do it, go to a site such as CAUTION. you have to join, but it's worth it.

``activity

we will not be posting activity checks but we would like for people to at least log on once a week unless they post an absence. people who do not log in for two weeks will most likely be deleted, along with their character(s). did you read the rules? prove it. "philizerates" is the code word. you may have as many characters as you can handle, but if you choose to make more than one, try to make one boy for every two girl characters you have.

``roleplaying

we know everyone has a bad day every now and then, but on New Beginnings, we have a posting minimum of 350 words a post. the staff will be paying attention to those who consistently do not make the word minimum, and if we catch this, we will talk to you. we are an intermediate to advanced role play site, so try to keep on par with the minimum. the rating for the board is 'R'. We do not allow Adult themed material, such as sex, to be written on this board. If it goes to that then do the fade to black manner. .
