Some might call him handsome, others rugged, of course there are the facts that none of them could deny. His eyes don't really seem to have a colour most of the time, they are simply reflectors of the light around them; appearing to be brown when indoors and not catching the light of the outside, but once in the moonlight his eyes can appear something that is neither grey, green nor blue, but something that appears to have tried to be all three. His hair is fairly long and thick, dark wavy locks of brown. Just perfect for running your fingers through. Like most of his kind he has pale skin from a life almost completely void of sunlight, though his chin can appear a little darker with the stubble that grows there, stubble that seems ever present regardless of the time of his latest shave. His attire is typical and always of a similar style, he has a more traditional outlook on clothing and sticks to the more reserved choices, a shirt generally leaving just the top button undone, a pair of smart trousers or jeans and a simple pair of shoes, but rarely trainers unless he intends to run.
Perhaps his most beuatiful state would by that to which he submits upon the thirst, when the hunger for blood takes him and those eyes turn silver, such a shade of opaque moonlight as was never seen in eyes before. And his two long fangs extrude themselves down to be seen among the other teeth, white and dagger sharp. Even he must admire the terrifying beuaty in that appearance.

Typically he is faster and stronger than an average human and his senses are hightened to the 'paranormal' level; as to be expected of a creature of his race. He is of course slave to the thirst like all others of his kind.

There is a lot that is not known about Marty, he is a mystery story that is as of yet unfinished, with all of the mystery in place and all the wonder and curiosity stirred, but only half of the clues have been found and the theories are simply gossip. He is a loner for good reason, that reason being he is happiest on his own. He has his companion Johnny, and that's all he needs, the pet is good enough companionship for him and so he is more than happy to leave humans, vampires and all other races to their own issues. Occassionally he might be intrigued by the activities of others, but his behaviour around them could hardly be described as inviting.
When it comes down to describing Marty the word most would use is simply 'quiet', he rarely settles into conversation and is more the type to sit and quietly listen to others speaking, enjoy their voice, listen to their words and something he is particularly well known for - watch them. Marty is keen of sense and quick of wit, his mind is capable of calculating many things and he is greatly observant, taking into account every detail he possibly can and remembering it. He can quickly get a measure of someone and can be very slow to get to know people and trust them, even those who know him 'well' are rarely induldged with any actual details of his life. He is used to being this way, keeping the mystery about his life is one of the things that has kept him alive for so long, when so little is known about him he can be intriguing, a mystery that simply must be solved, and he has learned to use such things to his advantage.
As a whole this is a laid back, strong and silent type of guy. He gives off a feeling of peace, tranquility and relaxation.

Its amazing how much time you can spend doing nothing when it feels like you have all the time in the world. It was never Marty's plan to be immortal and survive for as long as he has, but he does not regret it. He has lived to see many changes in the world and lead a fairly eventful life with many things he would have never experience had he not been turned. As a human he was a nobody, his life was difficult and filled with hard labour. He and his family had, for four generations, worked on the land owned by some rich lord in the british countryside. They kept the livestock, they tended the land and in return they were given a small home and a plentiful life.
One winter a man came to stay with the lord at the manor, a mysterious man who was only ever seen at night. The staff cared little for this man nor his business with the lord, it was the lady that joined him a few days later, a beuatiful lady that was just as mysterious. She had dove blue eyes and porcelaine white skin, features so smooth and perfect she might have been a doll, and a smile that would make any many fall to his knees and be at her service. It was Marty that she took a liking for, upon finding out about the affair her master, the mysterious man Christian Blake, came to visit Marty. He was turned that winter and spent just three short weeks in the company of the two vampires he knew before growing tired of their murderous games and sick humour. After this he wandered the world alone, travelling and meeting others of his kind along the way, he learned of his true vampire nature and became the creature he is today, he met other races and learned more of their existance and recently adopted Johnny.
He can trust himself not to eat his pet, but when Johnny was young he took a liking to Marty in a small alley and followed him. At first they simply wandered in close quarters, then together and now they seem happy to be companions. They have travelled together for many years now and would not have it any other way.

Someone thought I would be interested and sent me a link, i beleive they saw it on FP
RP EXAMPLE:
Stolen from another site I RPed on a while ago - coz I'm lazy xD Character called Robert Jacobs
Robert had been looking down at Hawk when the door had opened and a student had come through and sat themselves down in the middle of the class. He smiled and nodded to them, but for now he said nothing. A movement at the door had caught his eye, a girl stood there still holding the door handle and looking at him awkwardly. He couldn't help but to smile at her and raise his brow slightly as she shifted a little further forward and spoke. At first he said nothing, his deep brown gaze simply rested on her as she asked whether she had found the right room, he made no indication to either reassure her to this or to discourage her from it but simply watched her with a curious expression.
In the corner the dog had gotten to his feet and shifted over to another part of the room to lie down beside a radiator, though other than the wolf-like walk with his head low and the light clicking of his claws on the wood floor there was hardly an indication to the movement at all. The girl was obviously nervous and attempted to make a joke of her little mistake with the door handle, however his expression did not change. When she had finished he pushed himself off his desk and nodded to her, the smile still lightly placed on his lips. "Not to worry, you're in the right place. he turned away from her, though he was fully aware that she was still at the doorway looking at him. He pulled a paper from a pile and grabbed a pen, looking back at her with a slightly confused look. "Well go on then, find yourself a seat. Don't worry about the doorknob, I was going to ask for a handle instead anyway. I much prefer them, don't you?"
His smile was a little brighter now and his eyes shone with a sort of energy he only got from young people. It was strange how much he loved teaching, how much the students of this school intrigued him and how nervous some of them seemed even though they had found a place where they were accepted. This girl was no different and he waited a moment to give her a chance to find a seat then looked to the student that had come in a moment before her, took their name and ticked it off on his register. His attention returned to the girl that had been standing at the door, "and what's your name?" he said, looking back to the list of names he had pulled from the pile of papers just moments earlier.
